Yale Class of 1991

Dear classmates:

Whether in NYC at a birthday party, in Puerto Rico, in Los Angeles or "under the elms" in New Haven, the Class of 1991 loves to get together for fun and fellowship.​

 

You and an adult "plus one" (spouse, partner, friend, young adult offspring) are invited on an adventure next September to either Iceland or Slovenia!  These were the two top selections from a recent informal survey of potential destinations.​

​

We are looking at Sep 18-25, 2027 for an exciting international gathering. The goal is to keep the costs at $3000 pp, based on double occupancy. There will be a single supplement for single rooms. Airfare is also separate and not included in the $3000.​

​

At this time we are looking for your feedback and preference for which trip sound sounds the most interesting to you.  You are not committing to going on the trip at this time.  

Iceland

The land of fire and ice. Enjoy trekking on a glacier, hot springs, wildlife, and potentially glimpsing the Northern Lights.

​​

Explore the South and East Coasts, including the famous Golden Circle. Enjoy waterfalls, Glaciers, Fjords and Black Sand Beaches​

Solvenia

A land of lakes, castles, and wineries. Enjoy historic walking tours, a river cruise, and  more.

​

Explore the capital Ljubljana, the Lake Bled and Radovjica regions as well as the coast and the Postojna Caves.

Our classmate Michelle Wicks Cypher is a licensed travel agent and has been hard at work building two itineraries.

 

She has generously waived her fee.  She will handle booking and logistics.

 

Flights are additional, but Michelle can help arrange transportation. 

 

Next step: we need you to VOTE! Which trip do you prefer?

You are not committing to the trip at this time. At this time we are just collecting people's interest and preference.

 

We will run the winning trip in September 2027, and perhaps the runner-up might be an option for 2028.
